Many of your have inspiring stories of dedication to service or a fateful encounter with a speech therapist as the inspiration for your choice to becoming speech therapists... my story is one of serendipity. I must confess that until my senior year of college... I did not know what a speech-language pathologist did. I did not know what COMD programs were. I had never heard of ASHA... and I had no idea what I would be doing after graduation...
